CHATEAU ROC DE SÉGUR

The Château Roc de Segur is located on Landerrouet Segur in the Entre-deux-Mers. Landerrouet is a contraction of moors and rhouets meaning, in ancient times, a wild, overgrown woods and thickets; and during the late eighteenth century, these areas are cleared and developed, from the early nineteenth century, settled subsistence farming extremely rich and profuse. The vineyard of Chateau Roc de Segur was totally replanted since 1990.

Age of vines (avg): 28 years
Wine making: Traditional, in stainless steel tanks with temperature control.
Ageing: 10 months in tanks
Blending: Merlot (70%), Cabernet-sauvignon (27%), Cabernet franc (3%)
Tasting note: A dark purple colour. The nose reveals red fruits aromas (raspberry, cherry). It is fresh with a beautiful structure thanks to the silky tannins, and it can be aged.
