Laibach Vineyards blend traditional and innovative techniques to produce wines of outstanding quality, that best reflect the unique terroir and microclimate of the Simonsberg ward, one of South Africa’s prime wine areas. The deep red soils (Glovelly, Glenrosa) and cooling maritime winds from nearby False Bay are ideal for red wines of body and complexity.

Growing organic grapes without herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilizers means far fewer chemical residues in the soil, atmosphere, groundwater and the wine itself.

Choose from the following range:

  • Ladybird Sauvignon Blanc – full bodied, very good nose with passion fruit and hints of blackcurrant. The acid is ripe and perfectly balanced. Best white 2017, Nedbank Green Wine Awards.
  • Ladybird White – fresh tropical papaya & lime aroma, lovely and soft mineral-acid balance. Rated “4.5 Stars”.
  • Ladybird Red – deep dark fruit & wild spice, complex chewy tannins; dry harmonious finish. New vintage Top 10 Bordeaux-style red blends by Christian Eedes, annual Red Blend competition.
  • Laibach Claypot Merlot – oodles of fruit, with some dark and white chocolate. Full bodied palate with wild spice & black berries and hints of expensive French oak toast. John Platter 2017: Five Stars
